FIELD MOUSE-EAR Cerastium arvense

A perennial straggling herb, loosley matted to form clumps. Flowers are small with 5 white petals and a yellow centre.
Widespread and native to the Falklands. Found mostly interwoven with white grass but clumps can be found in other communities especially heathland. Flowers November to February. Common on East and West Falklands.
